Lame week... I didn't even have a motive to come post on the blog... Let's see if I can make a brief summary just to log.

Monday was a quiz on OOP, a lab on DBS, chat with Caro once I got home, visit to the food bank, a bad bad coffee at the Second Cup I said I'd never go back to, rent money paid to Patrick, and off to bed.

Tuesday was a lot of stuff at school as usual, then rush downtown to go to Express, a new German guy who enjoys alternative music at the meeting, coffee without coffee at college park, brief talk to Thiago before coming home, and then bed.

Wednesday was OOP and DBS again, work at the bookstore, a call from Valentyn on my way to Downsview, a useless trip around North York to find out we can't go anywhere because of his "situation", a meeting on IRC with my OOP group, and then bed.

Thursday was both INT classes, then coming home extremely down and deciding to sleep for 12 hours after looking at the finances.

Friday was work at the bookstore in the morning (at least that time I got a compliment from a girl, hehe), JAC followed by a useless EAC lecture, emails back and forth with Rauf about the apartment we want to rent, talk with Efrain about his moving in to Bleeker's co-op, uselessness on the internet until late, then bed.

Let's hope today will bring me up =/

Gimme sympathy

Let's break the cycle for once and try to avoid this series of exclamation marks (the new 'pontinho') around here. Saturday I felt refreshed after sleeping what I deserved. I woke up and did nothing on my computer until Valentyn called me (and that took a while to happen). I took a shower when he was on his way here, and I didn't bother eating since we didn't have any specific plan for the afternoon. I took him to Fresh, and while I enjoyed a delicious fresh bowl, he moaned over his meat-less salad. I didn't bother too much, though. After that we thought about going to a pub, but since he couldn't drink we just chatted inside his car until he had to leave. He dropped me off at home and I stared at the television for a long time before deciding to put The Devil Wears Prada on the dvd. I'm glad I watched it again, it is such a pleasant laugh. While I was watching I got a call from Olim confirming the night at the Wreck Room, so I set my mind about going. I went back to doing nothing at the computer until it was time to leave, and by 10:30pm I was sitting at my favourite club listening to good music. The night was good, and I had fun with Olim and his roommate, but I kept having moments of missing my friends in Brazil =/ I guess I'm just in a very nostalgic mood. I came back home a couple minutes after last call, and that's the end of Saturday.

On Sunday I woke up earlier than what I wanted because I had to finish my java exercise before going to see Anthony. I took a shower and had breakfast quickly before leaving, and I called the internet cafe to ask the guy to download Maple Story while I was on my way there. I went to pick Anthony up, and we arrived at College and Spadina around 2pm. We played together until 4pm, and it was fun to kill some random monsters in a party with him... Too bad I don't have time to play regularly anymore. After I dropped him off at home I talked to Valentyn on the phone and there was no way we could see each other that night. I took the subway back home and decided to stop by at the Magic Oven to eat something. My dear little pesto was there, and I stared at him the whole time =P When I got home I made myself some tea and I was eating my Persian cookies that Minoo gave me when Rauf asked me on facebook if I wanted to to go out for a bit. We managed to get Oli to come downtown too, so we all met at the Starbucks @ Yorkdale, pretending we're elegant. We stayed there until it closed, and then moved to 55 Bloor W, where we also stayed until it closed =P Finally we parted and left and I went to bed once I was home =]

Now I don't remember what to put on this post anymore... I guess Thursday I went to college earlier since I had a morning shift at the bookstore, and then I went for my INT classes. Oh yes, I had the party at the 519 later that evening. I came home to change and I texted Rauf inviting him to come with me. He said yes, so I told him to meet me there. I went to the post office on my way, just to get whatever package I received earlier this week and wasn't home to sign. It was Bebeth and Bel's gift! They read my mind in sending me Pingo D'Ouro and Bis *.* I was still aerial when I found Rauf in front of the 519. We went in and soon realized that it was not another shitty reunion, but instead a whole celebration with drinks and DJs. Each person received two drink tickets, but I kept getting more and more from people who were leaving early (including Rauf). By the time the party finished I was so drunk that I didn't bother rejecting Valencia and Max's offer to go to a pub. Actually I was the one to take them to the pub, but it's hard to explain how. We came to The Pour House, which is just around my corner. We drank a couple more pints, and Max took advantage of my drunkenness. I rushed home like Cinderella before midnight because I had lots to do the next day.

Friday wasn't a pleasant experience. Work early in the morning, then two stressful classes, and finally a short discussion with my JAC partner over a project we were supposed to have started a week ago. I was feeling so bad that I called off from work at FCET and came back home to sleep. I blacked out from the moment I got here until around 10pm, and then I woke up to do something that would me put back to sleep again. The choice I made was to watch a movie from my computer, and that worked. After watching another gay movie (Gone, But Not Forgotten), I felt like going to bed again =] And that's it.

Maybe I would've been something you would be good at

I'm early for work, so I'll try to post this in ten minutes...

Tuesday is one of my busiest days at school because I have four full classes. I asked Kath to give me the day off at the bookstore, and she did. My first class was JAC, and Peter is definitely not giving us any break... We already have some exercises to hand in, and I have to do it in a team of 2. The only two people I know in that class (Neda and Ljubo) decided to be a team themselves, so I was sitting at my computer hopeless until a south asian guy sat next to me and displayed some apparent high knowledge of java =] He asked if I could work with him, and I decided to give it a try... Let's see where it goes. After that I had INT3, and the class wasn't very productive; my professor is nice, but he keeps talking about hacking stuff which is annoying sometimes. Then I had EAC, and we had a loooong lecture that tells me that every day we get more and more stuff to read. Finally there was my INT4 lab, and although the task was simple, I couldn't finish it before 5pm. I had to leave at the end of the class because I had to meet Zulema at Express asap.

I thought about going home before going to Sherbourne, but it was already 6:15pm when I got downtown. I went straight to the meeting with my super heavy backpack, and I ended up seeing Zulema arriving at the same time that I was. Both of us thought one another would be impatiently waiting upstairs. We went to the classroom, and after a long check-in, we had some chance to eat. I was starving and Asif ordered vegetarian stuff especially for me, Zulema, and Rauf, but I kept being rushed to go by Zulema and her fear of missing Tegan and Sara. We left around 7:30pm and we walked to Massey Hall, where the concert was going to be. I was surrounded by lesbians and cute guys that I found out later were also lesbians. The concert was really good, and it was an interesting experience for me to watch it from those numbered seats; I felt totally civilized. After the show we walked for a while trying to find a place to have a drink, and the only thing we found was Fran's. I just got some ice tea, while Zulema drank a fancy smoothie. Once we were done, we parted and left because it was already late to go to bed.

Wednesday is another very tiring day. I study in the morning, OOP and DBS. Both classes went fine, but my programming team members and I received the terrible announcement that some other people might join our group because we only have the minimum number of people in it... Oh well, I think we can manage it. I had to work at the bookstore from noon to 4pm, and when I was about to leave I got a call from Valentyn. He offered to drive me from York to Newnham, which was quite convenient for me. We got to the other campus a little early, so I stayed in his car chatting a bit before going for my second job. Early in that day I got an email from Seneca saying that I was working more than what I was allowed to (I knew that, but I thought they wouldn't find out =[), and to correct that I had to change my contract with the FCET. I talked to Elisabeth about that and got everything sorted out. After a not very busy night, I came back home and got some rest.

I have interpreted so many wonderful women that I end up getting mistaken by one

I wanna cry T.T I have so many things to do that I barely have time to fart anymore. I'll make this post a little smaller, and maybe another day I could edit it again...

I forgot to mention last time that I also watched the Golden Globes on Sunday... I loved Meryl Streep's speech, and this post's title is a fragment of it. Monday we had no OOP class because Fardad was sick, so I met Minoo at the library and we updated ourselves on what happened during the break. I bought my EAC book, and then I went for my DBS class. After that I went home and that's when I had some time to post yesterday's things.

Not much left to say. This post is supposed to be only for Monday =P

Is this snow or mayo?

Posting from my laptop from the first time =] I have to get used to the keyboard, though >.> Thursday I went to school just to find out that Anthony Austin had canceled his class without telling anyone. Since I had a window between that class and INT4, I stayed at the library for hours without anything interesting to do. Then finally I went to Ian Tipson's class and that one went pretty much fine; I like his style =] I also had to work at the bookstore that day, but nothing abnormal happened that deserves mentioning. For the first time I finished at 8pm, so once I got home all I wanted to do was to go to bed.

Friday I worked in the morning, which is actually a little fun because I am actually needed there. When I left, there were so many customers that I felt bad for the guy who stayed. I went for my JAC class, and I started talking to Neda, who happens to be Persian too. It's funny how I only become friends with the girls, even though they are so rare in IT. Peter delivered a great class, and so did Robin for EAC later. I got another call from the learning centre, and this time I managed to book an interview with them for Monday. After the class, Valentyn picked me up for another ride. We went to an Italian restaurant at Dufferin and Steeles (East Mario's), and then to Dufferin Park (as usual). I got a message from Patrick saying that my laptop was delivered, so that was a big relief for me. After being dropped off at Downsview and taking the subway back home I rushed to start playing with it. Then it was bed time.

Work on Saturday morning, how fun is that. They even put me at the senecentre, which made me almost fall asleep. The only good thing about that morning was Valentyn coming to see me again. He was so desperate that he convinced me to go to a motel and have some fun =P We stayed there until we got hungry, and then we went for all-you-can-eat sushi. That's not much in my case, but since he pays for everything, wonderful. He dropped me off at the subway again, and once I got home I went back to setting up things for my laptop. In good Portuguese, tomei uma surra de pau mole do ubuntu, but now everything works fine (or at least I hope so). After chatting with Rauf with the wrong keyboard settings, I told him I would go over to his place. I watched him shave, then we ate something and left to his friend Rusty's place. Nice guy, this Rusty, and his boyfriend too. We played DDR on his wii, and I'm guessing his boyfriend got jealous when I played a song he couldn't play. Nothing serious, though. I got a call from Kevin with an invitation to go out, so once we left Rusty's we went to Woodys to wait for Lindsay, Kevin, and David. They came, and we decided to go to The Barn. My id was accepted fine this time, so I finally got to see Thiago's favourite place. I didn't stay too long though; Sunday was heavy duty day again...

Well, not very heavy. This time I was at a good position, so it was fine. The day was so quiet that I spent most of my shift chatting with Chenchen. He's one of the few cute Chinese guys I eventually see. After work I came back home to do random stuff until it was time to go out with Anthony. The subway had some weird complications, so I got a little late, and by the time we got to the cinema, the movie was already on previews. Anthony chose The Book of Eli this time, which was not as bad as Zombieland, but definitely not something I would recommend. I tried to talk to him a little bit about the religious bias at the end, but I'm not sure if he payed attention. On our way back we decided that next time we go out we'll go to an internet cafe to play maple story =] That should be fun! I hope I don't get addicted again, though =P And that's it for the weekend.

Feliploko, who's not a whore.

May I help you find anything?

Oh my... The beginning of this semester has been even crazier than the one in the fall. Monday was my first day back, and I decided to sleep in a little bit, so I missed my first OOP class with Fardad. I woke up around 11am to get ready to go to my second class, then. Back to the subway routine, I read another chapter of the last Artemis Fowl book. Once at school, I went to Nebojsa's class. I guess I won't talk much about him in this post; let me leave for when I have nothing else to blog about. Monday was also my first day at the bookstore. Luckily I started on a very quiet shift, so I could take my time to learn exactly what I needed to do. I was very lost in the beginning, but now at the end of the first week I am already used to it. My boss picked me among the whole staff to finish early because we had too many people and not enough customers, but I didn't even have a reason to complain. I got home really tired, but still Patrick wanted to talk about lots of stuff. O heard him say whatever he needed to, but he got really mad when I had to answer my phone at some point, so that finished the excessive talking. I went to bed soon because I knew the next day would be just as tiring.

On my first day of my twenty-two's I was a little more predisposed to go to my classes. Peter Liu was late for our first JAC class, but we still talked a lot about how this course is going to be delivered. My INT3 class was shortened because of a protest that SSF was organizing against the strike, but apparently Anthony Austin is a professor that I will appreciate having. The protest ended up not happening for unknown reasons, so I just took my time to eat some vegetarian thai food that I didn't know I could find at the TEL building. My EAC teacher was also a little late, and I was surprised to realize she's a woman. So now I know I don't have only guys teaching me this semester. She is nice, but I have a feeling this course will involve a lot of reading and writing =/ And finally, Valentyn wanted to see me after 3pm, so I decided to skip my INT4 class to go out with him. It was a fair trade - he brought me a birthday gift and took me out to Dufferin Park =3 It's such an interesting thing that is developing between us, haha. We went back to Seneca at 5pm because I had to work... More hours of helping people finding books and reshelfing. I asked to leave early again saying it was my birthday, and they let me. That way I could join the Express crowd right after the meeting. We went to College park and chatted for a couple hours. That's the end of my birthday =]

Wednesday was also hectic. I woke up really early to go to Fardad's class, and I realized I really need to work hard on his course. We were introduced to so many things at once that I felt really disturbed during the class. We had to come up with a group of four, so luckily Amy Ward and her friend Matt (both very good students) invited me to work with them. Since I'm taking over Minoo's decisions this week (she's away in Iran =P), we had a group of four right there. I look forward to working in this team; since the first semester I've been trying to collaborate with people that actually care about what they are doing. I had another DBS class with Nebojsa after that, and again I will keep myself from talking about him right now... I had about 30min to eat something after the class and then I had to go to work. For the first time I got the afternoon shift, and I'm glad I was already used to the shelves - it gets really busy that time. At some point we had the fire alarm going off, so everyone in the school had to leave the building and wait for the firefighters to check everything (which took almost an hour). When we got back, it was time for me to leave for Newnham and work as a student guide. I was surprised to get a call from the learning centre while I was working. They want to interview me so I can be a tutor this semester... That takes care of the income I need to make when my bookstore and guide jobs get reduced hours. After my shift I came to the library to edit some posts on my blog, and finally went home to mark the middle of a never-ending week.

Thiaga, get the piana and go to Toronta!

A class cancellation today made it possible for me to come edit my blog =] I'm tired, though, and whatever happened last weekend doesn't feel so scandalous anymore...

Saturday I had to wake up early to go to work =[ I woke up at Sergey's place after my phone had been screaming for a while. I gathered my things from different corners of the apartment and left after saying goodbye to the mister Russian. Walking home was not so terrible because he happens to live less than a block away from me (funny, eh?). I thought I would have little time to shower and have breakfast, but actually I even had time to double check my bag before leaving. I took the subway up north: closed my eyes at Bloor and Yonge, opened them at Finch. I was put to work at a place I haven't ever been before, and it was quite fun to be there (although turning around so many times to see the four hallways I was next to made me a little dizzy). I was supposed to work until 1:30pm that day, but since I confused my schedule with Sunday's, I left at 11am. Valentyn called me one second after I put on my coat to leave; apparently he was eager to see me =P He told me to go to No Frills, and that's where I met him... and his friends. He offered me a drive to the subway, and we barely talked on the way - it was really awkward having two other guys on the back of the car. I bet this was just a test-drive to ask his friends if they approve me (lol).

Once again at the subway, I slept the most I could. When I got home I had only a couple hours before I had to leave to see my junior Anthony. His sister had this great idea of going ice skating instead of watching a movie, so I dressed warmly and went to their new address to pick him up. Linda showed me the place, and it is really nice - although I'm not sure I would enjoy going up and down those stairs every day. Anthony and I took the streetcars to get to harbourfront, and we rented ice skates at the rink. He is as new to this as I am, so we were laughing at each other falling. Too bad the weather was not very good... It got so cold that my nose even started bleeding =[ Unfortunately, I couldn't spend much time with him, but he understood that I had to prepare things for my party. However, I'm a bad bad guy and instead of going home after dropping him off, I met Valentyn at Queen and Dufferin. We went for a quick coffee, and he drove me to the LCBO close to my place afterwards. He made it clear that he was interested in me, and I started playing hard to get with him. We parted and left right there, and I got some beer and wine at the LCBO. Once back home, Michelle was already there helping Patrick. It was past 7pm, but people started arriving at their own fashionably late times. Sergey got there first, then Rauf, Kevin and David, Lindsay and Zulema, Thiago, Natalia, and finally Aamer and Jamie. The party was fun, and had I not been so sleepy I wouldn't resist the alcohol in my body the way I did. I guess I'll skip the drama on this post, because it's not worth to remember it later... I didn't stay home that day, but I went back to Sergey's place instead. We had some business to finish =P

Once again my cellphone told me way too early that it was time to go to work on Sunday. I repeated the steps from the day before, but this time I had to take the night bus since the subway doesn't run on Sunday mornings. I still got to work in time, but I was put in one of the most boring positions that exist. I resisted sleeping for three loooong hours, and then finally checked out. I was checking my email before going home when Valentyn texted me (with his wonderful English skills =P). I texted back, and he called me saying he was coming to pick me up. He took me to Montana, and realized a little too late that a steakhouse is not the best place to go with a vegetarian. I ordered the only no-meat option that they had, and it was still good food. After paying the bill (guess who did it? =P), we went for a ride at Dufferin Park. I decided after last Wednesday not to do anything in a car again, so that was a perfect continuation to my hard-to-get game =] Valentyn went crazy. He had things to do at 3pm, so he drove me to Downsview station and I took the subway home. We had a guest that afternoon, and I had to ask him to leave... I was right in knowing not to trust such people. After the place was clear, I went for a random walk, hoping Rauf or Sergey would want to meet for a coffee. They were both busy, so after sitting at college park for a while, I decided to pay a visit to Aamer. I finally got to see his new place, and he kindly made me some hot chocolate. We talked until he had to leave, so I walked with him to the streetcar stop. Nothing happened on my way back home, so I started getting ready to a restless evening. Wendy was at my place helping Patrick clean up the after-party, but they were nearly finished. They left after a couple minutes, and I used the opportunity to finish things on the internet and go to bed. =]

Last parcel of the crazy weekend resolved. It would be reported differently if I wrote on different days, but I guess this is a good enough report. Next time I have some time I have to blog about the beginning of my crazy-paced week. Hopefully I'll get used to it soon.

SeeYa,

Getting Acquainted

Image Placeholder
I feel like it's going to take me forever to edit these posts -.- Please forgive me if I shortened something that could be lines and lines of entertainment. By the way, if anyone else other than my audience reads my blog, note that when I address someone by you, I'm referring to this specific audience, which is the many many me's of the future that will be reading through the archives. Anyway, moving on...

Thursday was a looong day of uselessness at lov.ru making new acquaintances that will turn out to be interesting stories very soon. In the evening I went to Rachel's new apartment for a dinner with her, Patrick, and Stuart. It was nice that the problems were resolved between these 3, and it was also nice that I could go for a dinner that night. Rachel and Stuart made different kind of sushi, and they were kind enough to make me vegetarian ones. I ate so many pieces that I felt like I was going to fart sea weed. We drank lots of wine, but luckily the night didn't last very long - I was tired. Once I got home I went straight to bed.

Friday was Thiago's birthday, so we had decided to go out for lunch at a Brazilian restaurant. It is called Kilo, they have self-service food priced on scales, and everyone speaks Portuguese. It was playing MGTV on the television, and I was reminded of how catastrophic the bad news are in Brazil. We watched a little bit of Video Show as well, and I was glad to see Angelica the same way she used to be 2 years ago. I couldn't hang out very much after lunch because I had to participate on a job training at Seneca. It was my turn to train the new student guides, and tell them how the job is (boring and stressful). Some of the new guides were good ones, and one of them was even cute =] He kept asking me for tips on what to do, and he's smile was almost suggestive.

Ever since Thursday evening I was texting this guy I met on lov.ru about meeting each other some time on Friday. It took us lots of messages to figure out a time and place, but we were still undecided one hour before the plan. I sent him a message when I left Seneca, and he only tried to respond when I was on the subway (no signal). I thought he didn't receive the message, so I went home to change and eat something until he says something. When I was unlocking my door I get his delayed message(20min) saying he was leaving his place. I respond asking if he's there, and a couple minutes later he says he's been waiting for 30min. I try to calm him down and keep him there while I run to the subway, and luckily I found him sitting at a bench drinking some soft drink. He wasn't very happy, but his mood cleared up as the night developed. We went to see Avatar, and I will not comment much about the movie for now - I liked it, but that's it. I convinced Sergey (that's his name) to come with me to join my friends and Woodys, and he came without hesitating. We got there, got ourselves some beer and joined Thiago's crowd. We got a little bit drunk, and I did a lot of Savassian stuff that I haven't done in a while. The night finished at his place, on an air mattress that I didn't realize how uncomfortable it was until I went there again.

One more parcel complete. We're almost there )))

здравствуйте!

Well, let's do this thing fast otherwise my blog will have empty posts forever... Wednesday was going to be a boring day if it weren't for two things: finding out I could actually join lov.ru, and being invited to go out on a day that I actually could.

So lov.ru is a website for people to find partners in Russia. I have heard about it from my Azeri friends, who were surprised that lots of Russians continue to use the website after coming to Canada. I have no idea why I haven't connected the dots before and realized that if I want to meet Russians, I should find a Russian community. All I was doing was hoping to find a cute Russian guy on a bar or nightclub and hope that some kind of chemistry would happen. But now finally I had numerous cute guys on my computer screen, and I could just initiate a conversation. What they say about Russians loving Latinos is true, and I found that out a couple minutes after having completed my profile: my inbox was flooded with messages and winks, even for people who were not in Toronto. I chose a few handsome faces to talk to and the result you will see on the upcoming posts =P

While I was entertaining myself on the internet, Thiago invited me to go to college night at The Barn. It was my last week off-school and I had no plans, so there was no reason for me to deny. We met around 23h in front of his building, and I told him about the Russian site on the way =P Unfortunately that night I had my first problem with using my Brazilian ID to get into somewhere. They wouldn't take it, no matter what. I gave up trying and told Thiago to have fun then. I walked up Church street trying to find something or someone interesting to do, but nah. That's when I got the subway back home and was hoping for something unusual to happen all the way there. That unusual thing only happened when I was on the internet again checking my new messages. An old contact from mh was talking to me on msn, insistently inviting me for a drink. At that point I was kind of saying whatever, so I said yes when he offered to pick me up at home. He came, and probably expected me to compliment his car, but that's not my thing. We tried going to a couple bars, but most of them were closed. We ended up at a bar that I went once with Aamer, Hanna, and Marc. We only had time for one drink because it was close to last call already. So after that I was suggesting to go to this guy's place, but he was being cu doce. He took me to the LCBO close to my place and we just satisfied part of our cravings before parting and leaving. That's too bad, because I really don't think I'd see him again after that.

So this is the beginning of a really intense weekend (yes, it started on the Wednesday). Stay tunned for the next parcels.

Feliploko, (dot)ru

What a lovely day. The cute snow that was falling from the sky helped to set the mood in the morning. I had to wake up early to go for a training at school, so I'm finally getting used to my normal routines again. I read a little bit on my way up north, and I chose some people to secretly stare at when reading was not possible. I got to the bookstore 5min early, but all of my co-workers were even earlier than me. I went through the basic stuff with my new boss Catherine, and apparently this job won't be a pain in the ass. I might still have to go to Newnham a couple days though, because I could use some extra money. After the training I went to Student Services to get my health coverage form to make sure I can apply to another study at Pharma Medica. I came back home around 1pm, and as I thought, Ray was here to have lunch with Patrick.

She brought me a birthday present! =] Which is nice because she knows what I like, but not good news because that means she won't come to my little get together next Saturday. We had soup for lunch, and lots of chocolate for dessert. Patrick had to go somewhere around 4pm, so I asked Ray if she wanted to stay and watch a movie with me before we went to Express. She stayed, and we picked Burn After Reading from my little collection of DVDs. We laughed together, but I wish I had It's Complicated here to share with her. We had to rush after the movie because we were already late for Express.

We got there in the middle of the check-in (since it takes them almost an hour to go around the whole room). We talked and ate for the rest of the meeting, and afterward some of us went for coffee as usual. I'm happy that Ahmed came with us this time =] It was fun having more than just the usual people. We were at Second Cup until about 9pm, and then we parted and left (as I'm getting used to say). Now I don't have much to do until Friday, when I have to go to Newnham to arrange some details about my other job, and later meet the queers to go celebrate Thiago's birthday. It's the Capricorn season again; let's have fun ^^

Cinema Italiano

Two not-so-exciting days. Sunday I did laundry and went grocery shopping, and later in the evening I met Thiago to talk a little bit about our plans for next weekend. We were going for a coffee, but since he had a crush on a server from Bizantium, we decided to go there for a beer. The place was awkwardly set for a nice dinner night with candle lights and wine glasses, but we sat at the bar anyway and started drinking and talking. When we were about to leave, Thiago gave his number to the not-so-cute server that he was targeting. I'll find out later how that went.

Today I sent some applications for interesting jobs that I can take once I graduate, and I sorted out the complications that ATS had with my laptop purchase. Hopefully I'll get it delivered by tomorrow. I received an email from one of my professors saying that many people spoke about me with enthusiasm at Seneca's promotion meeting. I felt happy when I read that =] Maybe they will recognize my good work and find a way to let me do their co-op without having to pay so much more in tuition fees. Now I'm looking forward to start next semestre. And that's all.

Undecipherable face expressions

Late edit, but still a post. I was just putting some Gorillaz songs to download here, because yesterday made me realize I'm missing on something by not listening to them anymore. So Saturday I was playing Chrono Trigger at home until some time in the afternoon, when I took a shower and went out to do some stuff. I got some cash and then went to Alex to get a haircut while I was waiting for Rauf to answer a text that I sent after he didn't pick up my call. I finished cutting my hair and decided to go eat by myself since mister wake-up-late had just eaten his breakfast. I went to Fresh and had some great vegetarian food =]

Around 5pm I met Rauf around the village, and we went for a coffee. It was so cold outside we even gave up going all the way to Second Cup and just stopped at the Starbucks on the way. We talked about random stuff for a long time, until I realized I had to go get ready to go out later in the evening. I invited Rauf to meet me later on my way to the Wreck Room, but I wasn't expecting him to decide to come. As I came back home and started getting ready to leave, people sent me text messages canceling or delaying the plans. I didn't care, I wanted to go dancing anyway. So Rauf ended up calling me at the last minute saying he was coming; I met him at Bathurst station and we jaywalked to get to the nightclub.

Surprisingly there were some people there, even though the weather was ridiculously cold. We got some cheap beer and continued the conversation we were having at Starbucks, but with some more spice this time. At some point in the night, Rauf saw his Uzbek friend there. We went to say hi to him, and we were introduced to his Russian friend (a girl, unfortunately). They joined us and then we danced and drank to the cool sound of DJ Dwight's selections. Rauf wanted to take the subway home, so he left around 1am, while I stayed with Olim and his friend to make sure my craving for alternative music was satisfied. We ended up being there until the nightclub closed (which is not too late, since this is Canada). By 3am I was home, ready to go to bed.

SeeYa,

Happy New Vegetarian Year

I am wasted. And I didn't even party that much... I woke up late on Thursday, and I just stayed home until it was time to go meet Zulema at Wellesley station. We wandered through the streets of the village before deciding where to go, and we ended up at Local, a bar with local food and organic beer at Dundonalds. Our lives changed there, since we were having this conversation about vegetarians and therefore ordered a vegetarian dish. As we were wondering why our order was taking so long, the waiter came to our table to apologize and explain that the oven that they would use to cook our food had been just used for some juicy meat dish, so they were cleaning it before they prepared our order. He even said that he knows it is awful for vegetarians like us to eat food that has been in contact with meat somehow. At that very moment, Zulema and I made the final decision to become vegetarians before the end of the year. That was our subject for the rest of the night.

Lindsay and Juhee (finally I learned her friend's name) joined us when we were about to leave to Nathan Phillips Square, and Kevin found us on our way there. We barely made it in time for the countdown, but we were separated by Kevin's fast and impolite steps. We wished a happy new year to the enormous crowd that was around us at the square, and it took us more than half an hour to get to call Lindsay since the network was so busy with people calling and texting everyone. We finally let her know that we were heading to my place, and so we reunited at the little convenience store next to Dupont station. I bought cheese, and we came here to have some drinks and disgusting food (popcorn, crackers, chips, grapes, and cheese - very delicious). Kevin left around 2:30am, and since he thought there was no subway anymore, he walked all the way home after waiting for the night bus that would never come. We later found out that on January 1st the subway runs until 4am (and it's free). Oli was the one to let us know that, and he got here with some chocolate just a few minutes after the poor Kevin left. Everyone decided to leave before the subway stopped, so I went straight to bed once they were gone. I fell asleep so quick I didn't even notice Patrick and Michelle coming back home a couple minutes later.

Today we had breakfast together as we were trying to make Michelle feel better. She was really sick from a mixed hangover of rum and wine. We left around 4pm to meet Patrick's grandparents and go to his aunt's place for a new year's dinner. It was hard to be vegetarian at a Chinese buffet, but I managed to eat some good stuff. Not eating too much made me able to eat much more dessert, which was awesome =] Caro and I started playing the "guess the story" question game, the kind that Samuel from CSA used to play with us sometimes. She didn't manage to guess the story about the three hikers that got lost at the mountains... Maybe she will keep trying next time we see each other. We left there around 8pm, and got here 40min after... Now I'll try to find something to do until I'm sleepy enough to go to bed.

SeeYa,
Feliploko, who thinks he's gonna buy himself a brand new shade of man.
