15-day post?

Image Placeholder
I have no idea of what I did for some of the days included in this post (I'm editing this like a month late). Anyway, I'll blog about what I remember...

Monday I probably spent quality time with Mx, then on Tuesday we watched the first Brazilian game on the World Cup. We won, of course, but the fact that I chose such a bad place to watch the game pissed me off a little bit. On Wednesday we might have spent more good time together, then on Thursday I met Zulema right after work to watch the second Mexican game. We went to the Football Factory again, but they wanted to force us to consume, so we went to a different place on the second half. We found this pizza place on Queen St, and that's where we celebrated Mexico's victory over France. After that I solved some stuff at YES, then went home =] Friday is another mystery for now, but probably nothing spectacular happened that day.

Saturday was my last day at Ontario Place (finally), so after ending my shift, I handed over my staff pass and my name tag. I was going to set up my kitchen table with Kevin in the evening, but I had to change my plans. I got the tools with him to do it by myself later, and I quickly went home to shower and change. I cashed some money before going to Rauf's to hang out with him, and we decided to go eat Sushi on Yorkville. We ate the over-priced rice-with-vegetables rolls, and then we parted since Rauf was going to spend time with his Scottish friend. I then took the subway to Lilian's place, where we had a little birthday party for her. David, Eli and his husband, Natalia and her boyfriend and a friend of Natalia were in this little reunion (not to mention Zulema, obviously). We had some fun with random conversation, and all of a sudden we decided to go for karaoke. We walked to Bloor St and got a little room at one of the karaoke places there. We sang terrible songs for more than 2 hours, and by the time we left it was so late that even the night buses were taking forever to come. It took me a looooong time to get home, but once I did, I crashed.

Sunday I did some house chores in the morning, and then went to the store to buy juice and olives so I could take with me to Nate's Place. We planned to watch the second Brazilian game together, so I took the streetcar and met Zulema on the way before stopping at Riverdale Park. We watched the game, which wasn't very entertaining, and after that Aamer dropped by to hang out with us. I had to leave to meet Mx, and we walked around that area enjoying the weather. After a nice promenade we went to No Frills on Parliament St to buy some groceries, and then we went home to cook, eat, and sleep. Monday we spent more time together, and the only thing I remember is that I went to Lansdowne station in the morning to buy my mom and sis' weekly passes.

Tuesday I woke up really early to go get the girls at the airport, and I had no luck with TTC's blue night lines. I took the Queen streetcar to Roncesvales, and from there I had to walk all the way to Bloor. There I got the 300 bus, that didn't go all the way to the airport since Kipling station was already open. I had to transfer to the 192 and after getting off at the wrong terminal and taking the airport train, I finally found my mom and sis. They obviously complained that I am too skinny, but I tried not to be bothered. We took the TTC to my place to drop their luggage there and then we went to Rita's place to talk to them and have some coffee. We visited Jane for a little bit, and then I took my mom and sis to Dufferin Mall to try to unlock their 3G phone. It didn't work, so we went out to eat some Ethiopian food at Lalibela. After that we went to Yonge and Bloor to visit the Wind store, and my sister ended up buying a Nokia to be able to call me all the time. We went back to my place to get the luggage, and we took a taxi to Stephen's since the streets were all wet from the rain. I dropped my mom and sis there, wishing them good luck on trying to communicate with their roomie, and then went back home.

Wednesday I took my mom and sis to Orfus Road and Mx to PMRI (or at least close to PMRI). My mom and sis ended up not buying anything because they spent all their time trying to look for a restaurant that was not East Asian. From there we went to the SOY's Mentorship Program Bowling Night, where we had some fun. We walked on Danforth after that looking for a power plug adaptor, and we finally found it after 10 unsuccessful attempts. Then I took them home and went to my place. Thursday was my graduation day, so I woke up early and met my mom and sis at King Station. We took the TTC to Seneca, and quickly found the messy crowd. I got my weird looking gown, and observed the peculiar organization of the ceremony while waiting for it to start. I didn't know anyone there, except for some familiar East Asian faces that I had seen before. The speeches from Seneca's president and his fellows were interesting at first, but boring for the rest of the day. My sister tried to take pictures with my camera, but the lighting of the room wasn't helping much. We had a little reception after the handing out of the fake diplomas, and I saw David there eating from our food. After staying for a while, we went to the computers to solve some stuff, then we went back downtown to go home.

Friday was the day of the big game... Brazil and Portugal, which would drive the College/Ossington neighbourhood crazy. I woke up and went to my mom's place to pick her and my sis up. We took the TTC to Jane's place, and a little delay on the streetcar made us miss the first minutes of the game. The TV bored the hell out of us since the game ended on 0-0, but even still people from the area decided to party out loud and jam the streets. It took me a long time to get to Yorkdale from there, where I had planned to meet Mx. We ate Teriyaki at the food court and walked around looking for some t-shirts for Mx. After having no success, we sat down to check something on my computer, and while I looked for a Food Basics in the area to buy cheesecake, Mx walked around suspiciously hiding something from me. We left the mall to go to Superstore try to find our so-craved dessert, and from there we went to Highland Farms for the same purpose. We finally bought a small cheesecake and some Kefir, then we went to the G.Ross Park to eat them. While we appreciated the kefir, Mx revealed his secret plan from the mall - he bought me a very nice watch as a graduation gift. We chilled out finishing our delicious treats, and then I had to go back downtown to take my mom and sis home and then go to my place to rest.

Saturday after meeting my mom and sis in the morning we decided to go to the Eaton Centre. My sis wanted to buy a dress to wear on that night for the dinner I had planned at King's Cafe. The dinner was supposed to be on Friday, but due to Minoo's change of plans and Mx's vampire appointment, I decided to make it on Saturday. We went to Sears and my mom and sis spent hours looking for shoes and shades. They bought some, then we stopped at Second Cup to get some drinks before going to The Bay to continue the search. They bought even more shoes, and then we decided to go to H&M to finally buy my sister's dress. We were happy shopping, and my mom and sis were even trying their clothes when we heard an announcement telling us to go to the basement. We all went there, and we were told the Eaton Centre was entering a lock-down procedure due to G20 protests on Dundas Square. Apparently some protesters were going up Yonge street smashing windows and trash cans on their way. We stayed at H&M for quite some time, being treated with granola bars and fruit juices. We decided to leave at some point because we were getting tired. We had to sing some forms, and then we exited to Dundas St, where obviously there was no TTC service. We walked to Dundas and Church, where we ate at Pizza Hut, and then took a cab to my mom's place. We chilled out there, and when I thought it was ok to go home, I left. I knew the streetcar would probably not come its usual way, so I walked to Yonge and King. From there, I saw a crowd protesting at Bay St, so I diverted to Queensquay to avoid the security zone. I walked all the way to Spadina without seeing any sign of TTC service, and then I finally saw some streetcars (obviously not in service). I made a joke to the rider of one car that said King and Roncesvales saying I wished he could take me there, and he ended up telling me to jump on his car =P The nice man took me all the way there since he had no idea of what to do anyway. When I got home, I was so tired I could only think about sleeping.

Sunday I left home without having breakfast because my sis was rushing me. I met her and my mom at their place, and then we took the Parliament Bus to Johnny G so that I could have some brunch. After eating there, we took the TTC to the beaches, where I spent the afternoon taking pictures with my mom and sis. Once we were done with that, we went back downtown and I chilled out with them for a bit before going home. I had to take an alternative route to avoid the problems I had on Saturday, so it took me a long time to get home. Then on Monday my sis rushed me out of bed again, and once I met her and my mom we went to Ginger to have lunch. We then stopped at No Frills to buy some stuff to take to Jane's, and we finally took the TTC to go watch the game against Chile. Brazil won, which qualified us to the quarter-finals, so we went to the streets to celebrate. Mx joined us there, and he finally met my mom and sis. From there we went to Chinatown so that my mom and sis could buy some souvenirs, and they got approximately 5.673 t-shirts with them. Mx and I helped them carry them home, and after that we went to my place to rest.

Is it right to say choo?

It's very stubborn of me to try to keep my traditions even under impossible circumstances. I'll flex the routine, but I won't change them... At least not yet.

Wednesday I went to work, but it was raining a little bit and the park was really empty. I asked to be sent home, and they didn't have a hard time letting me go. Before I did, they told me off for not showing up for work on Tuesday, but that wasn't that much of a big deal. I gave them notice that I was going to quit, then I went home to nap a little bit. Later on I went to Downsview station and I waited for Mx to meet me there so I could bring him downtown.

Thursday we had breakfast together and then we went to the library to check some stuff. I had to go to RBC after that to check what I can do about my account and credit card that will not be free very soon, and all they could do was schedule an appointment for me to go back. Mx and I then walked a little bit, and we parted around St Andrew station, where he went home and I went to Stephen's place to confirm the technicalities of him hosting my mom. After that I called Rauf and decided to see him for a couple of minutes before I had to meet Kevin and chatter with him. The couple of minutes were literally 2 minutes because Kevin called me as soon as I reached Rauf's door. I was a bit hungry, so I suggested going to the Vegetarian Indian restaurant located near Yonge and Bloor. Kevin was fine with that, so we went there and had an amazing meal (but obviously too hot). Then finally I went home to rest.
Friday I went to the library right after waking up. I solved some stuff online and then went back home to get ready to meet Lilian and Zulema. We planned to watch the opening game of the World Cup together, and we did so at a place called Football Factory or something... We cheered for Mexico, but it didn't work - the game ended in a draw. I had to stop by the YES office to print, scan, and send some stuff related to my new job, and after that I went home to eat my Indian food leftovers from yesterday. I went to my bank appointment in the afternoon, and fortunately I found an option that is not going to cost me too much money. After dealing with RBC, I went to my old place to check the mailbox, but there was nothing there for me. I then went to HSBC to change my address on their file, and went back to Dupont station to meet Mx. We wanted to eat cheesecake, so he suggested we went to a Food Basics. We did, but we didn't find the cheesecake we wanted =[ We played the lottery (after some disagreements) and then went home to get ready for the Youth Line Award Dinner. The dinner was interesting, but now that I am vegetarian it wasn't so easy to enjoy the food. The servers were confused on what to serve us, and this lady kept telling us that everything she was bringing were vegetables, vegetables, vegetables. At least I didn't go home hungry...

Saturday we had a quick breakfast and got ready to go to Anthony's place to get a ride to YAY's picnic. We picked Beatrise up at Mx's place, and we all went to the same park we went last year. It wasn't as much fun because it was raining, but we still enjoyed the day a little bit. Linda gave us a ride to Mx's place, and from there I took the TTC home.

Sunday I needed to do lots of things online, but the damn public library only opens at 1:30pm. I tried 3 different branches before I realized that was their standard schedule. I ended up going to Starbucks to do my stuff, and after that I went home to change and go to work. Mx met me at Exhbition Place after my shift, and we walked to my place, enjoying the nice weather.

I'm not creative today. Routine post.

Friday I woke up and took Mx to Downsview station so that he could go to work. After that I came back home and just napped for a long time since I didn't feel like doing anything else. Later that day I went to meet Patrick to get the mail box keys with him because I thought I would have some important mail at my old place. Big mistake, there was nothing for me there - I just wasted my time =[ I then went to see Rauf for a while, and we chatted on our way to the Wrong Bar. He went to Big Primpin, but I went home.

Saturday I had to work, and for the first time I had an 8h shift =/ Standing for that long is not funny. Luckily, I survived, and as I was leaving I noticed that a soccer game had just finished at the BMO field. The crowds were making the traffic extra slow, and to top it up, the Dufferin bus didn't come. I took the Bathurst streetcar then, and since I had to transfer anyway, I decided to stop at Fresh to eat something instead of starving. After that I went home, did nothing for a while, and then Zulema and Lilian stopped by to visit my new place. We chatted for some time, and then the girls went home.

Sunday I promised to go up north in the morning, so I did. When I got to Finch and Dufferin, however, Mx wasn't answering the phone. I waited for a while and, as it turned out, the lazy boy had slept in and almost forgot about work. We met on the bus stop and we went to York U so he could take his bus to work. I then came back downtown and stopped at the public library to do some stuff before going home to rest. Later in the evening, I went up north again to walk for a while with Mx and then kiss him goodnight.

Monday I worked again, but only for 4h. After my shift I stopped by at YES to print and scan some documents for my new job. By the time I finished I was very hungry, so I ended up eating nasty food at Pizza Pizza. I then went home to rest once more, and later on I was on my way to Downsview again. There I met Mx, we came downtown and watched the beginning of a Russian movie that he likes. We were extremely tired, so we couldn't finish it =[

Tuesday started really awkwardly, but fortunately things didn't get very bad later. We had breakfast and I bought some fruits to make a fruit salad. In the afternoon I took Mx to the streetcar stop and went to the library to do some stuff and edit my blog. After that I went to my old place to check the mail again (and guess what - nothing there) before going to Express. We had our meeting as usual, and later Zulema, Lilian and I went out for a coffee at Second Cup. When it was late enough to go, we parted and left.

Maybe this is depression again, but I need something better than criticism about my mental elderliness. I wish he was sweet more often.

Summary of the week again =]

Friday I took the day to solve some things that I couldn't solve while I was at Pharma; just some emails and phone calls. Then I did nothing on my computer until Mx called me and we decided to meet at Martin Grove. I went all the way there just to realize the Viva bus doesn't come after midnight. I had to divert my route to Finch, and once there I managed to convince Mx to come home with me. We ate, chatted, and slept.

Saturday we woke up sometime in the morning, and after showering we decided to have breakfast. I realized way too late that I didn't have a frying pan, so we couldn't make an omelette with the eggs we had bought. We left to Downsview station when Mx needed to go to work, and after putting him on the Viva bus I came back downtown with my eggs. I went to Rauf's place, boiled the eggs, and ate them while watching Eurovision. Germany won, which wasn't very fun, but it was still nice to watch the contest. Rich paid us a quick visit that night, and then I went home when Rauf decided to go out.

Sunday I had to go to work, but I didn't want to stay there until the park closed. I asked my supervisor to leave early, and he let me =] After my shift I walked to my new place to get my keys with my neighbour, and then I texted Kevin to meet him so I could move some stuff that night. I ended up moving everything then, since Mary and Reg were at my old place with the van. It took me some time to clean, move, and rearrange things, but finally I was at my new place.

Monday I woke up in Parkdale for the first time. I went out for breakfast, and I found this place with affordable croissants. After eating there, I took the streetcar and the subway to meet Mx at Yorkdale Mall. We walked around trying to find shoes for my interview, and we were about to get a nice pair at Sears when we found out that (1) the shoes were not on sale and (2) my interview was postponed. We decided not to buy the shoes, but only new pants and shirt instead. After then we walked around Dufferin street trying to find fruits, but we had no luck; Mx had to go to work with cookies instead, so I went all the way to Martin Grove to show him some compassion. When I came back downtown I tried to arrange my mail forwarding at Canada Post, but some lack of professionalism caused me to run around for 3h without results. In the evening I met Kevin to get the fan he was giving to me and drink some frozen hot chocolate. We chatted for a while, and then I had to leave to get ready to go all the way up north again. Once more I went to Brampton, and once more I carried Mx downtown to be with me for the night.

Tuesday we could finally sleep in. When we were tired of staying in the apartment we left to solve some stuff. First thing we tried was to send some money through Scotiabank - no success. Then we went to RBC to get some cash advance, and since Mx gave up going to the gym by then, we went to Bloor and Spadina to eat some sushi. We ate all we could, and then he left to go home while I left to go to Express. We had an interesting meeting, full of new people, and for the first time in ages we had more girls than guys there. We went for a coffee around St Lawrence Market after the meeting, and once we were done there, I came home.

Wednesday I had to go to the library first thing in the morning, since I had no internet at my place. I did many things I needed to do online, and then I met Mx around St Andrews station. We tried to go to a Russian church on College and University, but it was closed =[ We then went to Scotiabank again, finally managed to send some money overseas, and then we headed to Spring Rolls to have something to eat. After filling our tummies, we went to Eaton Centre to continue the journey of finding me shoes. We went to many stores and bought lots of stuff, but we only found good shoes after a loooong search. I was glad I bought everything else, though, because once I went back home with everything, my new place seemed more complete. We quickly visited the library once more, and then went to No Frills to buy some groceries. We cooked dinner, watched a movie, and then finally went to bed.

Thursday was the day of my so anticipated interview. I realized that I was late when I left my place, so the first thing I did was to grab a taxi. I dropped Mx off at Yorkdale mall, and went all the way to Finch and Victoria Park (something that costed me almost $60). Everything was ok, though, because my interview was great and one of the guys told me it was very likely I would be one of the chosen candidates. I then went to Mx's place, where I changed clothes and had some tea. We set off to Ikea, and bought some of the last things I needed for my new place. On our way back, I stopped at Seneca to finish some online business while Mx supposedly went to the gym. He had to go to a school event instead, and once he was done, he called me back. He got really angry when I didn't answer him, but how could I? I was on the phone with my new boss telling me I got the job ^^ After arranging everything and getting Mx to calm down, we met again and came downtown to be together and celebrate.

This was an intense summary. I hope it's ok o.o
