Then it happened. I missed a post =P Let's recapitulate - Saturday I started my day surfing the net until it was time to watch some Eurovision national selections. I watched a little bit of the Ukrainian selection, but I was really waiting to watch the Latvian finals =] I liked some of the performances, but this band called Pieneņu Vīns was really good and I can't stop singing their song. We had to leave before the end otherwise we would be late for our afternoon stuff. We went to Aoyama Sushi to eat a little bit, and then I went downtown while Mareks went for a return at PMRI. It took me quite a while to get to College station, and to top it off the subway was not working south of Bloor. I had to take this shuttle bus, and surprisingly enough, it was snowing inside of it. I finally made it to the movie theatre, where David, Pedro, and Zu were waiting for me. We were late for many movies, but we could watch The Kids are All Right in time. It was my second time, but I like this movie enough to watch it again. After the movie we went to Frans to eat some dessert, and I finally satisfied my craving for a banana split! We stayed there chatting until it was pretty late, since it was our last opportunity to hang out with Pedro in Canada =[ I took the subway to Finch with David, and then I took the bus to finish my way home.
On Sunday I went to Fairview Mall with Mareks to buy something for Diana, then we came home to eat some steamed vegetables, and after getting ready we left to go to her house. We congratulated her for her birthday, and then we all left to Oishi Sushi to grab a bite to eat. I couldn't stay for too long, because I had to meet Minoo at 7:30pm for the Oscars. I was surprised at how precise to the minute Google Maps was when I planned my route. I met my dear friend at Eglinton station, and then we walked around to look for a pub playing the awards. We found one, and we managed to watch a good part of it despite of the surrounding noise, but around 10pm they muted the tv for some live show -.- Minoo and I left, and we decided to go back to her place to watch the end. Her apartment is lovely, and her view is fantastic. We watched the rest of the Oscars via live stream, which was a little laggy, but it was enough for us to have a good time. When the show was over I took the TTC back home and then went to sleep.
On Monday I went to work, had a meeting with the team who's doing the research, and had lunch at the congee place with Mike, Brian, and Johnny. At 5pm I got a ride with Kaizer, and then hopped on the subway all the way to Keele. I walked down on Indian Grove appreciating the neighbourhood, and finally got to Peter's house. Peter is a nice chiropractor that I met when I went to Mareks' church to watch him play. He's very smart, and he promised Mareks to let him take a look at his father's clarinets (and maybe lend him one). Mareks was already there checking the instruments, so I joined them in trying each of them and even playing the piano a little bit. We left when it was already dark, and we took the streetcar to Dundas Square. We were hungry, so we stopped at Spring Rolls to eat dinner before coming back home.
Today was an unusual Tuesday. I went to work and continued my projects normally, and even got Alex to help me start the process to get an LMO for our company so I can extend my work permit. I bought a sub for lunch, and ate it while joining the Anime Club formed by my east asian colleagues. I gave up on going to Express, so I came home and ate dinner. I entered some tax information on my tax return file, and solved some problems for Mareks and his relatives. Now there's not enough time to go to gym, but I'll probably go buy some groceries at least. Finito.
SeeYa,
Feliploko, who'll go downtown to watch the modern kids.
