This weekend was so nice! The weather finally opened up a little bit, so I got a chance to walk downtown with Mareks. On Saturday we went to Diana's place in the morning to try to recruit Sabine to our promenades, but she had school stuff to do. So we left, took the TTC to Queen's Park, and then walked among UofT students to Chinatown. We ate at King's Cafe (a looot of food), and then started walking on Dundas all the way to Dufferin. Then we ended up in Parkdale, in front of my old place, and then we decided to take the Queen streetcar without a certain destination. We went aaall the way to Long Branch, and once there we took the GO Train back downtown =P It was a fun trip. We got some lattes at Second Cup, and then finally came back home via TTC. Once at home I could hardly stand up =P
Sunday we had the Jane's Walk. We went to Yonge and Bloor to meet the guides, and there was a nice crowd there. We started walking down Yonge, east on Wellesley, through the village and finally stopping at Allen Gardens. I'm happy that this project continues year after year at Express, with different participants sharing their stories. After the walk Mareks and I ate sushi at the village and then we came back home. We watched Talented Mr. Ripley again, and then it was time to rest.
